Helm was appointed to provide Project Management and Cost Consultancy services for Home Group in Cumbria, supporting the delivery of a modern and flexible workplace environment.

The scheme provides open plan workspaces for 73 staff across two buildings, alongside a vibrant and flexible work café, meeting spaces and dedicated wellbeing facilities. The spaces have been designed to support a variety of ways of working, allowing staff to move between different environments depending on the task or activity.

The flexible nature of the workplace means that areas can be used for a range of purposes, from focused individual working and informal collaboration to meetings, team sessions and social interaction. This approach creates a more adaptable working environment while making effective use of the available space.

Working closely with Ryder Architecture and Ultimate Group as the main fit out contractor, Helm coordinated delivery from inception through to completion. Our role included programme management, procurement, contract administration and cost control, ensuring the project was delivered efficiently while maintaining a strong focus on quality and value.

The completed workplace provides Home Group with a contemporary environment that supports collaboration, flexibility and wellbeing, while reflecting the changing needs of modern working practices.

This project demonstrates Helm’s approach to project management and cost consultancy, combining commercial rigour with collaborative delivery to help create spaces that work effectively for both the organisation and its people.
